You can use patterns that are designed using a different loom, but if the
gauge is not the same, or a different number of pegs are called for in a
pattern, your loom may not have the correct peg spacing or the correct
number of pegs. For example say you found a pattern that called for the use
of 88 pegs and sport weight yarn. If you had the KK looms you would not have
a loom with 88 pegs, and your loom pegs would be spaced too far apart to use
sport weight yarn. So you could do some math and figuring and perhaps arrive
at how many pegs and what yarn and which KK loom you could use to get the
same results. But it is certainly not something you would want to fool
around with as a beginner. At first, I suggest you stick with patterns that
are designed with your loom gauge and brand in mind. happily, there are many
KK patterns out on the net to choose from.
