Hi meg;
A knitting loom has a base with pegs coming up from the base. They can be made of wood, nylon or metal or plastic. The basic ones are round or a skinny rectangle. There are different sizes for making different items. The gage of the loom tells you how far the pegs are from each other. There is usually an anker peg on the outer edge for wrapping your tail of your project.
Looming is done by E wrapping the yarn around the pegs and lifting strand one over strand 2 to make a knit stitch.
Joinn the chat tonight or get a set of knifty knitter looms and one of us can walk you through the knit stitch.
