Tonya;
While watching phones, no calls, ha, ha, I made the brim and 10 more rows. I just might have it made in a day! A friend saw my navy blue hat, my first one, and she said it looked great, just like the ones you buy in the store. She watched me do a row. Each time I come up with a new craft, she is intreaged with my work!

Thanks, Cindy. I am going to give it another try. I'm pretty sure I was keeping the same number of stitches, but I was a bit distracted when working on it. Roger will be gone for a few hours today, so that will give me the concentration I need.

Tanya,
One thing to watch for is if you continue to do as many stitches are you started with in the chain. It sounds to me like you are dropping or skipping stitches which are making your project curve. Try counting each chain as you crochet to make sure you are keeping the same number along your row. Remember, depending on what type of stitch you are doing you need to get the height you need by chaining at the end of your row.

Hope this helps!
Cindy Z.
