Barb,
Yes, you can tear them apart and reuse the yarn.  Why do you feel they are not usable?  To many holes?  Colors not look good together? 
Just curious.

Have a question, I've made two scarves on the round kk loom to give as christmas gifts, but ended up not giving them as I'm not satisfied with how the turned out. I have washed them and set them aside, but the more I thought about it, the less I felt they were giftable. Any suggestion on what I can do with them, can they be ripped apart and the yarn be reused? They were loomed with two strands of ww yarn?
