Neva,
The 5 peg could be used to make a scarf for your Snowman. I was using a bulky yarn and did not like the way it turned out. It seemed too bulky to me so I just did a chain stitch with the bulky yarn for the scarf. I think it is a personal preference.

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Finishing my Knitted Snowmen Before Starting the Beaded Ones

On December 7, while hanging out at the hospital waiting for Stella to be
born, I completed two KK snowmen bodies. Tonight I finished one hat and am
stuck on the scarf. The instructions say use the Wonder Knitter". Can anyone
describe this to me? I'm thinking it may be the loom with 5 pegs on one end
and 8 on the other. If that is right, do I use the 8 peg end and make a
tubular scarf? I started to make some iCord but don't think this is right.
I'll use it for a treat bag or something. My daughter brought me a bag of
fiberfill, so I am going to try my hand at stuffing in the morning. Pleasant
dreams to all.
