[Nfb-krafters-korner] life line

Cathy, Before you go out and buy a spool of weed whacker string/cable/wire
(or whatever you want to call it, ask someone you know if they could give
you a length of it. I'm guessing a piece 12 inches longer than the width of
your project.

JoAnn, how do you determine the length you are going to use?

Annette

Annette,

Oh, weed whacker! Now I have heard of those for certain! They are a constant
racket in my neighborhood each summer. I never actually looked at one, so
thanks for the description of how it cuts with a wire instead of a blade. So
I can go to the hardware store and purchase replacement weed whacker wire!
Got it! <grin>
I'd figure the weed whacker wire would be a better choice than circular
needles in that you could cut it to any length you want.

Cathy

There is a machine used for trimming weeds called a weed whacker. It uses a
string on a mechanism that spins very fast instead of a blade to cut the
weeds.

I've done a lot of gardening but haven't anything to eat my weeds! In other
words, what is this weed eater line?

I am a hand knitter. I am using weed eater line for my lifeline. It
works well and is stiff enough to thread through and flexible enough to use

with circular needles and large pieces you might be working on. I can make
it any length I want to accommodate the width of my piece. JoAn.
