I know what you mean about being in too many groups.  I am in four as well. 
I was in a book chat group for the blind not too long ago, but they were way 
way too chatty about other things and heated arguements popped up and it was 
nothing to have 50 e-mails a day non-related to books.  There were also many 
people overseas and it was nice getting to know everyone, but attitudes 
flaired like rooster feathers and then the group all of a sudden shut down 
with no warning and that was that.  I believe it has started up again, but I 
have enough traffic to deal with at the moment.
