Sahar has been a paid member of the NFB Krafters Division for a long time
now.

We invite anyone to take their first "Try It Class" without any
obligations. We then request if you liked the class and would like to take more
classes you become a paid member of the division. Once you take your first
class you need to become a paid member of the NFB Krafters Division to take
any more classes.

Our Monday Night Chats along with discussions are open to everyone.

Grin, I like that "get your feet wet; the water is warm." I've never
heard that last part before. Well, a part of not doing the classes is after I
get off work at 5, I'm ready to crawl into a cave of silence. I work with
people all day, and I'm not an extravert by nature. I didn't think there
was a charge for classes; I thought you just have to be a member of the
division, maybe. I haven't been on here for a while, so who knows what's
changed in my absence.

Hi Sahar,

I didn't know if I could learn over the phone either. I was afraid of "not
getting it," and looking dumb. But I dove in and I am so glad I did. The
water is great! <grin> since joining this list in late September I have
learned how to loom knit and do safety pin beading. I truly have amazed
myself! Now I'm teaching classes!

Why not just come and listen in on a class, you can do that with your first
class for free. See how it goes. Try something you've got a curiosity
about.
If you don't get it, don't like it, or whatever, so what, its no big deal!
Some folks are good at one thing and not another. as for me, I don't want
to
get near the jewelry, I can't imagine working with those tiny beads. But I
admire you for being able to do that.

Get your feet wet, the water's warm!

Cathy

Oh, it's not a question of wanting to talk with you. I would very much
love
to do that. It's a question of how comfortable I am learning over the
phone. *smile* I'm a paradox; with some things, I'm a quick learner.
With
others, well, I question my intelligence. I've not joined any classes on
here because I don't think I can learn something like this verbally; I feel
too much like an idiot. *lol* I usually have to see something before I
can
do it. You know I don't mean see visually. I mean I have to experience
the
motions of making something. The truth is, though, I won't know if I can
learn unless I give it a chance. I need to stop being a chicken.
*laughing* I was always a little afraid of crafts. Art class was the bane
of my existence growing up. IN fact, my art teacher could not believe it
when my friends back home told her I was making jewelry. I barely scraped
by with a C, and I think I only got it because she felt sorry for me.

Warm regards,
Sahar Husseini

Sahar,
I can teach you how to do cabs! I could talk you through it over the
phone.
With the experience you have with beads, I know you can do it. Contact me
off list if you want to talk with me.

Glue, it is a dirty 4 letter word that I do not like, either. It is TACKY
and ICKY and I never liked using glue on anything and it has nothing to do

with sight loss on my part either. YUK to glue. lol
