The stones I have collected while on the river in my canoe are smoothed by
the river - I do not do anything to them at all. I use them as I find them.
the stones that are polished gemstones are bought at gem shows where I go.
They are shows that are part of a lapidary event every year. I can get the
most amazing slabs of stones imaginable at such a show.
I use a very wide assortment of Japanese beads - from the tinies seed beads,
to freshwater pearls, to crystals, etc.
