Hi latch hookers,

 

My sister has given me some excellent descriptions of a number of the kits
on the knitting warehouse site.  I am sure we will find a pattern that we
can all agree to try as a class, and those that want to do something else
can do it themselves.

 

If you'd please each post your two or three top choices, I will see which
has the most votes and I will agree to get the pattern for that one and
teach that class.

There are other categories besides animals, but I have not delved into those
yet.

 

 

My top choices are:

 

1. "puppy love"

2. flower pup"

3. "purr"

4. "moon meow" (described in earlier email.

 

 

Latch hook kits

 

Okay Cathy here we go. I am not including some that  are cartoon and some
that don't have well defined faces or expression. they are just not as
appealing to us.

"Cat Nap"  this is a rectangle with a black kitten with white paws and face.
It's eyes are closed and asleep with a smile like it  is having a wonderful
dream or is content. It is lounging on an orange red pillow that fills the
bottom of the picture. the top is a background of light blue with white
patterns on it On the bottom it says Welcome.

it has maybe six colors. it  is half way between cartoon and realistic .
Very sweet looking.

 

"Cat tails" is a rectangle  with six cats sitting on a window ledge looking
out a window. their tails are hooked together to spell  love.

Each cat is a different color gray , black,  red , red tabby, gray tabby and
a red with spots. They each have a bright bow  red, orange, green, yellow
blue purple. the frame of the window is white and you see lots of  blue sky
out the window panes.

This is a very bright cheerful one. not realistic  looking but cute.

might brighten up a hall way or somewhere that needs a window to brighten
it. It probably has more then  12 colors

 

I know you want dogs or cats but I  had to mention this one. it does have
about 12 colors  I really like this one. it is kind of a south western look
in that  it has triangles as borders on the top and bottom or purple and
orange and  on the top blue and orange. sounds strange  but it looks nice.
It is a realistic eagle in flight with a bright sun behind it with sky blue
sky. the eagle is mostly brown with white.

 

Shaggy puppies are two very sweet puppies with their tongues hanging out
faces tilted. one is white and one is light brown. they  each

have heart   dog tags on the collars. Light blue back ground with dark

blue border. They are very happy and fuzzy looking. more for a kids room.

 

Lab puppies the same as the other site

 

"puppy love"  this might be a good one to do it has maybe eight colors.  It
is a profile of a puppy's face that fills the picture 12 by 12 in. the
background is dark brown.  It is a golden retriever puppy. It sounds  dark
when I say it is mostly all browns of different shades but the head is very
highlighted to almost white and the face and shoulder are bright as if  in
the dog had a light shining on it.

the puppy  looks like it is looking at something but not smiling. it is like
a formal  photo shoot kind of thing. realistic look . it is very fuzzy and
cute looking.

 

 

 

Tabby. this one is a profile of a tabby cat that fills the whole 12

by12  picture.  not cartoon but pretty realistic. maybe  six colors of white
and brown.  even though it is a lot of browns  there is enough white so it
does not look dark.

 

24 and one half inch round cat nap.. this more cartoon like.  it is a very
happy kitten  with a big happy smile, it is a gray tabby in two tone brown
round basket with a handle with a blue blanket there is some pink on the
basket too. it might have 12 colors.

 

"purr" this is a 12 by 12 in  head  on face of a black  cat with white face.
To me it looks like a cat when they are on the top of a chair and they put
their paws on the top of the chair and peer over. so you just see the two
white paws and the face The paws are on something bright pink and  a
turquoise blue background the eyes the same color as the back ground. not
like a painting but real enough maybe eight colors  Nice and bright.

 

15 by 20 in flower pup

It is a golden retriever puppy with his tongue out a golden color coat of
course It is  laying on bright green grass . you see only his front half .
his face chest and paws . there are pink with white flowers around him and a
bit of light blue sky. brightly colored  half way between cartoon and
realistic.. maybe nine colors the rectangle canvas  is  long wise goes up
and down.

 

 

 

I did not know if you wanted to include wolves or unicorns.
