Subject: Laundry Soap the Old Tyme Way

Ladies, here it is!

Home Made Laundry Soap

Ingredients:
1 5 gallon bucket with lid
    1 bar Fels Naptha Soap
1 Box Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 Box Borax 20 mule team soap

Method:

Grate entire bar of Fels Naptha soap with a cheese grater.

Boil 4 cups of water.
Slowly, stir in the grated soap, over a medium heat until soap has disolved and melted. (BE SURE to STIR it in very slowly so it does not turn into a clump.)

Remove from heat.

Fill your 5- gallon bucket half full with hot tap water.

Add melted soap.

Add 1/2 cup of the Borax soap powder.
Add 1 1/2 cups of Arm and Hammar Soap powder.

Stir well until all soap powders are disolved.

Slowly, fill the bucket with more hot tap water and continue to stir all together.

Place lid on bucket. Leave alone until the next day. It will thicken overnight.

To Use:
Stir and fill a used soap bottle 1/2 full with the concentrated soap from your bucket.

Fill the rest of the bottle with water.

Shake before each use.

It will re-gel.

For topload washer:
1/2 cup per load

For front load HE washing machine:
1/4 cup per load.

A HE Washing Machine will give you 640 loads out of your 5-gallon bucket.

In your top loader, you will get 320 loads.

That is it. Let me know how it works for you.

Your total time to make the soap concentrate should be about 1/2 hour.

There is no expiration date for the soap.
