[Nfb-krafters-korner] Yarn question

All I can find is standard weight, worsted weight in balls or cones.
However, the cone prices are pretty good, so it's a good resource. I have
heard that Peaches & Cream doesn't hold its color well but Bernet cotton
yarn does. Can anyone comment on that?

You can get 100% cotton yarn wich is bulky weight [8 ply] yarn sold on a
cone by Peaches and Cream
_www.elmore-pisgah.com_ (http://www.elmore-pisgah.com/)
They do have verbal description of the colors in the ombres under the
worstered weight yarn and they are located on the East Coast.

Wow, that sounds cool. I have never found cotton in bulky. If you do, I
want
to hear about it. I love working cotton yarn. I just cannot get into
acrylics. I am working my first bulky yarn in 100% wool right now and it's
cool. I think I still like cotton best. I want to learn to make place
mats.

Neva, I have used the two strands as one quite often, but was hoping to
find
the bulky so I'd only have to use one strand, therefore less costly, lol
(hubby has been eyeballing my yarn stash and saying "you need more?" lol) I
found a you tube video this morning on makeing a placemat and it looked
like
he was using 4 strands of cotton, he wa using the long loom and doing the
figure 8 double knit wrap.
