I have some good news. I came home from a three day absence and learned that I had won an award on my encrusted talisman called _M_. I was very happy to learn this! but the best part was that my daughter and two great grand daughters are in this show, too. It is a juried show, and they had no age limitations. So we entered the show, all three of us.  The best part is that our little great grand daughter, Ava, who is 1 1/2 years old, also won an Honorable Mention Award!  It was a painting she did for her father for Father's Day! And, her sister Isabella, who is 2 1/2 also has two paintings in this show.  We had taken the paintings over and were careful to not let anyone know the ages of the girls (we did not take them along to leave the paintings._ We did not want anyone there to know their ages because we felt the judge might no even look at the paintings if he knew they were done by children so young, even though it was ok with the show rules.  All together I have 5 pieces in the show; daughter Heidi has 4 in the show; and two great grand daughters have 3 in the show. I would say the Lambert clan did quite well this week. The show opens on Friday and is a weekend show at the local arts festival. This is one of those things that make you smile.
