I will try it, the chuncky just feals so much fuzzier than the thick and quick.  Wouldn't it take less rows?

Hi Terry,

If it were me, I would use the chunky weight brown for the brim and do a double brim. When you bring the first row up to create the doubled brim, it should be just fine to use the thickk and quick for the body of the hat.

Loomers out there;
I bought some of the oatmeal thick and quick.  I can not find any brown to go with it.  My neibor gave me some thick, fuzzy yarn in brown.  I have a fealing it is the chunky.  If so, can I combine the two in the same hat. 
The brim with one and the hat with the other.
