[Nfb-krafters-korner] UFOs

Let us know how it identifies yarn and maybe beads. Those are my biggest problem.

Wow, that is way more organized than I ever will be. I have lots of UFO's, some are beading projects, and they live in Ziploc bags inside plastic shoe boxes I got at the Dollar Store; some are knitting projects and they live in various sized tote bags depending on how much yarn goes with them. I have piles and piles of scrapbooking paper, stamps and inks just waiting to become cards, etc. and three or four bankers boxes full of cording, ribbons, jingle bells and such to make door jinglers for the holidays. Our third bedroom is supposed to be n office, but it resembles a craft store after a bomb went off more than it does an office. I think if I could have the undivided attention of someone with eye sight, and a willing spirit, for about a week, I could get it all organized so I could find what I need and actually finish a project or use up some of the supplies I have. Color matching is my most difficult hurdle. I don't know if it will help, but I ordered a Rainbow Color Reader today. It recognizes 38 colors and seems to be accurate about 80% of the time. That's better than the $200 plus models I have seen and this one is only $75 right now. It is new and they are selling it at cost to build cash flow. LS&S and Maxi Aids are going to put it in their next catalogs but the price is not yet known. If you are interested, go to www.edmondsonengineering.com and check it out. I met these folks at CSUN a few weeks ago. It's a husband and wife team. She is blind and he is an inventor.

I was wondering, after reading Henry's post:

Do you have UFOs?
If so, how or where do you keep them?
Do you return to them and finish them at some point?

Mine are in "cupcake" storage boxes I buy at the Dollar General store - the nice boxes are stackable and keep each project separage and clean. They are on the shelves in my Knitting studio.
One stack if for Knitting projects, one stack is for bead projects - each neatly there waiting for me to find them again and give them the attention they deserve.

This has motivated me to do a search of my UFOs and make a list of them that I can use in selecting the next ones. I am going to do that today. I am a person who has to be organized and have a LIST of things to do to get me going. I like to make a list and then check off the things that are finished, one at a time, as I complete each one.

How about you?
