[Nfb-krafters-korner] Book Share was: craft books

As far as I know, the Read To Go app is the only way to read BookShare books
on the iPhone and iPad. This does not mean that there is not some other app
that will read the DAISY format of BookShare books.

Voice Over works with the app for everything accept for the actual reading
of the books.

The Read To Go app also offers some features that help people with learning
disabilities. These same features have been found to be helpful by people
with low vision. I've been told that these features are most effective when
used on the iPad instead of the iPhone.

The Read To Go app makes it very simple to download BookShare books right to
your device. I have been very impressed with how fast the down load works
over the wireless connection. I think I downloaded a book only once through
the cellular connection of my iPhone and was not disappointed in the
download speed.

I download and read at least 2 books a week from Bookshare on my iPhone.

Annette

You can also read the BookShare books on your iPhone or iPad with their Read
To Go app that costs $19 and change.

The Book Share books can be read on your computer using Kurzweil, Word, or
in your Explorer in HTML format. So you really need nothing more than the
computer to read it. The several portable players run other formats as well
and come with their own synthesized voices.

so is bookshare more text reading from the computer and do you need special
software?
