Hi all,

I've done a bit of researching online and have found that Markman Farm
actually makes looms with wooden pegs and not just the cotter pins. I
purchased a fine gauge loom from them a few years ago and simply cannot use
the cotter pin looms. Through chatting with the company owner, Lynn Markman,
I am getting access to a small gauge adjustable double rake and will see how
it goes. If it works well, I will let you all know. These looms are made
from oak and are all wood with nylon hardware, except for the longest loom
which has metal hardware. The longest loom is 30 inches. If this works out
and I can use them, I will be purchasing the 30 inch loom eventually.

These looms can be used for single or double knitting, but there are also
long side pieces that can be purchased so they can be used to weave on, too.

When I ordered my first loom, I was sent what Lynn calls a giftie, which was
a tiny 7 peg small gauge loom that can be kept in the purse or bag for small
projects. I have pulled it out and am working with it. It is tiny and hard
to hold on to, but I am knitting on it. I need to give it a good waxing, but
I will do that once I am more comfortable with it. With the double rake,
there will be more of a base to the loom, which will allow me to set it on
my lap and not have to hold on to it!

I am still going to purchase the All-In-One loom from Authentic Knitting
Board as soon as it is available at Hobby Lobby and will let you all know
what I think of that one, too.
