Hi Aisha, first of all, welcome to this mailing list! You weave? What do you
make as a result of your weaving? I weave rag rugs out of recycled sheets on
a home made wooden loom that's the size of a floor bath rug. I am Kendra
from Salem, Oregon. I am a gardener, an NFB member, a member of a krafter's
guild and will start learning how to make paper with plant parts inbedded in
it. I love to watch hockey, football, the news, history shows, science shows
and the occational interesting show that turns up on televition that only
lasts a season but sometimes, I luck out and watch a few interesting shows
that lasts more than one season. I love to read books even though I only
read one or two books a month if I'm lucky. I do plant research on the
internet and have found a number of good resources. I don't know of a good
soeing machine for blind people. I'm sure that you will find someone on this
list who knows more about soeing machines than I do. I don't know who else
weaves besides me. As far as I know, I am the only blind person who makes
rag rugs in Salem, Oregon. Also as far as I know, I am the only one on this
list who makes rag rugs. There are many members who nit and soe on this
list. I'm sure that you can learn all about soeing and nitting from them. I
always see at least one or two soeing or nitting classes postings each month
or so. There are more oppertunities to learn soeing or nitting than one
could count.
Kendra
