Hello all,

As you may remember, I was talking about how Sarah was going to teach the
needle knit ruffled scarf and I was wishing that I could learn how to make
the scarf on the loom. well, happily it is possible. there are videos on
yourtube:

http://www.povidi.com/YourTube/ where you can learn how to do it. it doesn't
sound very difficult to do. I put in the words ruffled scarf and got one
video to show how to use that ruffly yarn, and then put in the words Isela
Phelps and found another video showing how to make the entire scarf.

If anyone with sight would be interested to check these videos out I would
be interested to know what cast-on method was used? I understand that the
yarn is made of a couple of parts, and would like to know which part of the
yarn should face the outside of the loom. also, I am uncertain as to how to
wrap using only one part of the yarn. .

Thanks for any help. If I get this figured out, I may just take Sarah's
class and loom knit while others are needle knitting. This yarn sounds very
interesting and somewhat challenging. However, I did post a message on
another loom list and two folks responded to tell me the vidios and say that
making a ruffle scarf on a loom is very easy. So we shall see!

I believe there has been a bit of confusion, perhaps only in my mind, about
which scarf Sarah will be teaching, the magic scarf or the ruffled scarf,
and now I am thinking it is the ruffled scarf, meanwhile Barb is away in
Texas now making a magic scarf on the loom.

So all kinds of interesting things happening in the world of looming!

The more I learn, the more I want to learn!

Cathy
