You have one big thing to be thankful for.  Your mom is in Heaven and is no longer suffering.  
I lost my mom in 2004 and the last 10 days were hard.  They even thought she was going to turn around and get better.  She had a massive bleading of the brain.  She could not talk, the last 10 days.  I brought her a teddy bear and my sisters said she moved her eyes and her facial expression like she knew who brought it to her.  I was the only one who loved teddy bears, in the family!  She was single and adopted 6 and fostered many more!

Wow! So yung to lose a mom. I can't imagine how uyou felt.

Thanks and I did make it through the day. Felt some sadness but was able to get to church and stuff myself full.

Felling a little uncomfortable so hope my stomach settles down so I can sleep.

God bless you Portia, I hope today you were able to remember the wonderful memories of your Mother.  I lost my mother 21 years ago this December.  I can say for me, I have never gotten over the sadness of not being able to share life and special moments with her.  I know that in my case, I still miss her and long to be with her, but the intensity has become more bareable with the passing years.  I only know that one day I will get to share all the things with her that she has missed in my life.  I was 21 when she died, so she was not here for my college graduation, marriages, divorce, birth of my children and just the everyday moments that I would love to share.  I however am so thankful to have had such a loving, Christian Mother.  I will remember you in my prayers.

Happy Thanksgiving all. I am glad to have met some of you by phone in the classes I attended thus far. Good to have this closeknit group and Ilook forward to continuing to be here and have the warm friendships here. Just so much to be thankful for as well.

It is really weird today without my mom around or to call.

But, I plan to make it through it.
