Portia,
I am a new loomer, so I will tell you what I did. I would work one side of
the loom and then the other, for the same reason. I would wrap the peg very
tight. I believe that Henry said that you could make your scarf as wide as
you like. I believe that he said after you have done several rows, enough
that you can feel your work from the under side of the loom, you can undo
your slip knot and allow your work to continue through the center of your
loom. At that point your work should be secure and not easily unravel.

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Long loom scarf help

I am making my first scarf on the long loom from the class. One question. Do
Any of you do one side of the loom or one rail then do the other?

I have had to do that since I wrap pretty tight. Trying to get the hang of
wrapping my loops loosely. But, not there yet.

And, also, how wide do you make it before taking it off the loom.

I also want to know, do you use the longest loom or does it matter?

Portia
