Chats are open to members and non members. Chats are usually discussions
with a topic. We do have guest speakers and hosts of the chats. Some of
our chats we give instructions for a quick project, but it is then a chit
chat with your choice of working on the project or working on your own
projects. Example: Next Monday Night Chat is a Knit Together. Charlotte will be
reading or someone will read the pumpkin dih cloth pattern line by line so
those of us wanting to knit it can do that. If you don't knit, you can
still join us and work on what you want and just join in with the chit chat.
We will share the pattern with everyone so they can finish it if they
didn't get to that.

It is different then a class. There is no sign up, the phone number is
posted on the list and the website for chats. You can always check the
calendar on the website for upcoming Chat topics and we don't always have a
scheduled topic for Monday Night Chats. So you can always stop in and see if
anyone ishanging in there on a Monday Night.

We have been fortunate the last few months for all the great Chat ideas
folks have suggested. So keep on letting me know what topic or information
you are interested in learning more about and I will find find someone that
can help us learn. You don't have to host a Chat as it is more of a
gathering of minds and sharing their input on these topics.

That is how we decided to designate a monthly Tech Chat. So we can share
our knowledge, thoughts, experience or what we have heard about technical
stuff and how the blind/visually impaired can use it.
