Nope, In order to use the webpage for any yahoo group you need to sign in
with the yahoo id you have designated for that group.  Subscribing through
the email commands only gives you the access to the group.

If you do not become a member of Yahoo, but just sign up for a group in the 
 way that you said, can you still access the Group files and archives?
