There is a new learning curve with any thing. I am very good with JAWS,
but every time they come out with a new version there is another learning
curve.

So if you are use to a PC or Mac if you decide to switch you need to learn
the other one.

More blind folks are purchasing MAC and that is due to cost effectiveness.
A MAC comes with the newest screenreading software onboard already
developed by Apple. So if you need to upgrade JAWS or purchase it on your own
and purchase a PC it is less to purchase a Mac.

The new JAWS is due out this month if they have it ready to go. If not it
will be out between September and the end of the year.

I purchased the service contract or whatever they call it for JAWS and this
is my last upgrade and I will have to renew it.

I found the mac was a learning curve and still is. I generally enjoy it
now but it took a while.
There are tetorials for the blind and lots of help online.
There is also a braille manual available.
