It is the same consept that Henry and I are thinking of doing. We want to start the bootie with a different cast on stitch, maybe even a double cast on stitch, to give it a fermer edge. Until I finish the first bootie, I can not test this idea. I do not want to use the flower loom with the ridges. My loops will get cought. I am a beginner at double stranding.

And that's what I want, for everyone to take what they've learned and make something new with it. I was just explaining why those first few rows on the original pattern are a bit lacy. Way to go, Cathy!

Oh I see. You wanted it lacey, Well, sorry about that. I was so excited about this because it is the first pattern I ever tried to adapt by myself, and having it work out as I'd hoped was quite a thrill.
