Jill,

Provocraft is the brand name for looms called "knifty Knitters which are hand-held looms that are either round or long rectangular looms. Michaels has their own brand which is called "loops and Threads" knitting loom, and Joann's also has their own brand. There is another loom by Boya. Any of these looms are just fine to purchase to get started learning to loom. most of us have found that beginning with a set of four round looms is best since it is initially easier to learn to knit in the round, and it is also possible to knit flat pieces on a round loom. that is just great you are interested in looming. If you can get around loom by October you can join my beaded hat class and learn to make a hat.

Cathy
