Me, too! I have a braille book, on the topic.
A friend gave it to me. Guessing it came from NBP.

Yah, can you please send the belt patterns in the main body of the E Mail?
That will be great!

Hi there --
You know, the nice thing about misspelling a word in the subject line is
that it makes it easy to search for replies...:)

I taught a class on beginning macramé a long time ago on this list -- and I
mean it was a very beginning class. I showed 2 simple macramé belts using
the basic knots in various ways. It took only a little while to start the
belts, and then the class members could finish them on their own time.
Looking back, I think I could have picked something a little more ambitious,
but the belts I thought were attractive even if simple, and left a lot of
room for creativity.

The macramesuperstore.com site has beads and cord and kits or patterns for
projects, and it is easy to navigate. I recommend staying away from yarn
when learning macramé. Most patterns use cord. It is possible to work with
yarn, but it is also challenging as the knots pull tight and yarn between
the knots gets uneven. But that being said, I have seen patterns for
macramé sweaters.

It's fun to make up your own patterns in macramé, and there are a lot of
things that can be made with macramé. Creativity is most the fun.

Anyway, if anyone wants me to send the description of the belt patterns to
the list, I can. I don't think I would use those again, unless someone just
wants the descriptions.

Have fun.

Hi all: I am going to learn how to make items in macromay(Parden the
spelling), the kraft where you make items by different types of nots in my
next krafter's guild meeting. None of us currently has a good pattern for a
compleet beginner such as myself. In order for me to get started, I need a
simple pattern for those of us who has never learned this kraft before. Does
anyone either have patterns for compleet novises like myself? If you don't
have good beginner patterns, do you guys know where to find them? Please
feel free to send me links to websites if you can't send me the pattern but
knows which site that you have seen it. I am not a member of Book Share nor
Learning Ally at this time. I am a member of BARD but I don't think that
they have books on macromay. My phone is down since my old dinosore of a
phone died. I am the one who is working with the Oregon Commission for the
Blind to get an Iphone 4s. Not to get too techno on you all since we have
resently had a tech fest on the mailing list. I do have one simple request
in the technology department. Can you please communicate to me via E Mail?
All systems are go there. Well anyway, I would really appriciate the help!
As for you yarn adics, I have managed to get a few balls of yarn for
macromay to get me started. My local krafters guild scored on a massive
donation of all kinds of kraft goodies and it happened to contain a few
balls of the right yarn for macromay. I might end up with a few more balls
of yarn next week since we didn't go through every ball of yarn in the
boxes. Oh yah, we wound up with two or three boxis that was full of nothing
but balls of yarn. Thank goodness that there are a few yarn adics in my
krafter's guild because they took the yarn home for their own kraft
projects. I guess that it's about time that I join in on the yarn adict
fun(LOL!).
