[Nfb-krafters-korner] class idea: make a stitch counter

Hi all,

In the loom knit Xmas stocking class on Friday night I was telling everyone
about the stitch counter that Carol O made out of pony beads and paracord. I
described the way it was made and folks were quite interested. Since then, I
have made a couple other stitch counters, first trying a couple of
techniques and using both yarn and nylon cord. I am willing to teach a
stitch counter class in September and it would only take one session. I can
teach the paracord one, which is very sturdy and utilitarian, or the nylon
cord one which can be formed into a bracelet and is a bit less sturdy but
prettier. .

So please let me know if you are interested and if so, would you like the 49
stitch counter made from paracord and 13 pony beads, or the 99 stitch
counter made from nylon cord and 18 pony beads. I will have to get the exact
measurement of cord needed for the different cords, but I would guess that
36 to 48 inches of cord would be more than adequate. For either cord, two
strands of cord must fit through a bead allowing the bead to slide easily
and yet not be loose enough to slide down by itself.

Cathy
