Hello,

After your class last January Annette I can knit and purl with no problems,
well, as long as I remember to place my needle protectors on the needles
before replacing them in the bag with the knitting. I have dropped stitches
that way, and while knitting sometimes as well. But I am ready for the next
step, the short row shaping or whatever you plan to teach.

Karen, I agree with whoever suggested that you knit and purl entire rows at
first. That switching back and forth every five stitches or whatever, slows
me way down. But once I get on a roll with either knitting or purling I do
fine. I have made my dishcloths and washcloths in that manner, and now am
making a hand towel on needles. This is the first time I am doing it all
knit with purls on the edges every other row.

I bought the cotton ease for these cloths and really like the feel of this
yarn. It is softer and stretchier than 100

% cotton and will not shrink. My first dishcloths made with 100% cotton are
about the size of sponges after a run through the washing machine! Ha ha!

Cathy
