I came across a note in one of my email lists that I am a member of.   
After doing a little more research I have learned a lot and wanted to share with 
 everyone.
 
Dental Floss is not just for your teeth!
 
You can use the cutter in the box of dental floss to cut your yarn.   So 
have those inspectors at the airport try to take your dental floss away from  
you.  This hides better then the folding scissors.  On the Noble Knit  blog 
a knitter claims she has the dental floss all around and she never leaves  
the house without her dental floss in her knitting bag.
 
Now another fantastic tip for dental floss.  You have heard some of us  
talk about "life lines".  Use dental floss to make your life line.   You can 
make it what ever length you need.  I would think you would have to  feed your 
stitches that are on your life line back on your needles after you rip  it 
back to the life line.  This does sound like an excellent idea.
