Hello Joyce and all,

I am new to the list but I wanted to comment here regarding children. When
looking at a pattern, it would be helpful to me if someone would say
something like, this is simple enough for children to knit or crochet for
example. Also, a comment like this would be a nice toy for children ages 2
through 4. I both have children living with me and babysit young children.

On a little different topic, I have picked up knitting again after first
learning it at the Ohio State School for the Blind in craft class. After I
began finishing scarves for all 4 of my grandchildren, my oldest daughter
picked up knitting. Then, her daughter began knitting because she needed
some type of close up art project to help with a lazy eye. Knitting has
become very relaxing to me and my goal is to learn different stitches so
that I can begin to make more complex projects. Lately, I have been knitting
baby afghans for grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
