Joyce,

Many times when I find that info that I just pasted from the web is not
being read well by JAWS, here is what I do:

1.  Delete everything in the document with Control+A to select all and then
press the delete key, or just trash the entire document and create a new
one.  If you were inserting the material, then you can try using the Undo
command Control+z or else you will need to select word by word or line by
line and delete the info that was just pasted.
2.  Make sure your cursor is in the location of the document where you want
to paste the info.
3.  If using MS-Word press alt to go to the Ribbon.
4.  Navigate to the Home menu if you are not already there and then press
Down Arrow to open it
5.  You should be on Paste, so press Enter to select it.
6.  Down arrow to Paste Special.
7.  Use your Up and/or Down Arrows to navigate to Unformatted Unicode Text
and press Enter to select.
8.  The info should be pasted in to the document.

Question:
When copying and pasting from a website into a Word doc. 2007, I must be
getting formatting of some type.  JAWS does not read it well, repeats
things over and over or does not read it at all unless I hold down shift and
control and arrow.
 
Is there a key stroke to get rid of the formatting?  Do I need to  select
the text or all the text first?
