Wouldn't it have to be done in a solid or verigade.  I would think you would be going across, that would mean, doing part of the boarder, background, heart, background, and back to the boarder?
How could you change colors in the middle of a row, inless you were going to sew the boarder to the heart.  I do not think so!!!
How many scains do you think it will take and any color ideas?

So the borders will take the least amount of yarn right?
I'm getting ready to submit an order for my yarn and trying to figure out how much of each color to get.
I'm going with a pine green, with fisherman white heart and a crimson/white border.
Or maybe I'm not envisioning this correctly?
