hi Maria,

the loom tool usually comes in the package when you purchase your loom. it
is a hook-like item, has a handle and a bent metal end that is used to grasp
and manipulate the yarn. it is used similar to a crochet hook. it is
possible to knit with only one's fingers, but often the loom tool is faster
and easier. They come with different types of handles and metal ends
depending on which loom brand you purchase. I began learning with my fingers
for I found this the best way at first but was soon incorporating the loom
tool in my knitting. 
Your product should say if your loom tool is included and likely it will be.
