[Nfb-krafters-korner] LK Purl Heart Afghan

No not really. All you have to do is begin wrapping with the new color and remember to keep a 6" tail to start. You can tie a knot where the old and new yarn meet but then just continue with the new color. Weave in your ends when done.

You can change colors of yarn in knitting. Everyone says loom knitting produces the same things as needle knitting, so if you can do it on needles why can't you change yarn colors using a loom?

I am guessing you need to be more experienced with the loom in order to change colors.

Beginner needle knitters I would not advise trying knitting with colors and changing them until they know how to knit well.

That is what I was trying to say, so I do not understand how you could change colors. You can change, do x rows in one and x rows in y. How can you change across the loom? There would be gaps between your colors and loose strands behind your work. Mistory to me!

I'm not Debbie, but I'm pretty sure I have an idea of how we will be doing it, if I'm correct, it will all be done as one piece, each row will create the borders and heart shape as we work across them, working in knits and purls, the heart shape will be formed by the placement of the purl stitches.
Since the purl stitches will produce a raised bump, we should be able to feel it when sliding our hands across the afghan.
