[Nfb-krafters-korner] How are the new knitters doing?

Hi, Kathy!

We will conquer, but who knows when! I never made dish cloths, but have made scarves, a sweater, and an afghan which is on the back of the chair in my living room. When I was doing the purl stitch, a friend told me ! go around from left to right. I happened to look at my knitting book, and the instructions are to go around from right to left which really worked. When I kept doing it the way she thought it should be, and began to try to knit all the stitches were backwards. I have the "I Taught Myself to Knit" book from Horizons for the Blind, and it's great! The directions for the European way are in that book. I also have "Knitting in Plain English." A friend at work wants his purple scarb, so when I can, I'm going to order some yarn for his scarf. He wants a short one. I made a sweater many years ago! A cr from work the I would knit at lunch time. I don't lose stitches, but the tail gets in my way even when I use a safety pin, so I pulled out a twist tie and used it! Smiles! How much yarn is needed for the dishcloths? I might try one some time. If I really work hard at this I want to knit something for a friend of mine! She wants to learn to knit socks and so do I! That would be fun!

Happy knitting! Smiles!

Hugs
