The work/scarves you describe sound like I'd want them too!
Don't you have a Michael's where you are?

I bet you will love your new cotton scarf. I have done several vertical
knitted scarves and they are really nice. I did one for my husband but I got
carried away and cast on waaaaaay too many stitches to begin with. The scarf
was enormous and there is no way he would ever wear it - he is short. But I
put it for sale at the Christmas Boutique I do, and a very tall large framed
woman found it and went beserk - she was in LOVE. Her complaint was that she
can never find a scarf long enough for her body - she looked amazing in my
scarf and I had a good sale. So, that worked out.

Wool is very nice to work with and you get spoiled after using good
materials. I have some all wool scarves I wove on my Macomber loom about 20
years ago. They are as beautiful as the day I cut them off the loom 20 years
ago. I always get compliments on them.

What a great price you got on cotton yarn. Lucky girl.
The sock yarn I use is $20. and it makes one pair of socks - and that is a
normal price for good cotton yarn, so you really scored big.
