[Nfb-krafters-korner] miter korner or what?

Has anyone ever come across a pattern that would be in the shape of a ball, 
 that you could work in slices of color to look like a beach ball?  That  
would be a cool project for the summer.  I don't know if you could work it  
similar to the way you work miter corners.  I know it isn't corners, but  for 
those of you who like to search around the net maybe you can find  
something.
