[Nfb-krafters-korner] casting on, AND beyond

Deidre, is there any reason why you shouldn't cut off the long yarn left 
loose after you cast on?  For some patterns, there is a reason to keep it, 
but my guess is while you are beginning, you can cut it off.  Check with 
your teacher.
