With Henry's guidance, we used 6 for the cuff and 6 for the leg and then the heal and 6 for the foot and then the toe. It looks pretty big, but with the cuff it should not fall of and he can wair them for a while.

Hi Terry,

You wrote:

If I am making your booties in thick yarn for a newborn and it says 10 rows for the foot and leg, what would you use for a new born, about 6 or 8?

Answer, I am not sure. I made some newborn booties and a friend put them on her two-month grand-daughter and they didn't fit. I thought I was making a newborn bootie but apparently it was more the size for a preemie bootie.

There are size measurements to use as a guide, Cindy Z probably still has the info from the preemie project. Perhaps she can send you the measurement info.

Cathy
