Hi Jill,
I actually have another book by Marie Porter called So What About Sewing?
that I bought many years ago, I think, from the Catholic Guild for the
Blind?
Also, I know that there is a book called How to draw with your Perkins
Brailler with step by step instructions for lots of different simple
drawings. Not sure about the author or publisher though, unfortunately.
For those that would like to try mekrame again, maybe try the site
http://www.ehow.com for some instructions.
Just type mekrame or a similar search term into the search box. I normally
search for articles only since I find the videos are not very helpful if you
can't see.
A while back I wanted to see if I could still do mekrame and I was able to
make some simple knots just by following the instructions since I could
remember the basics.
I find that a site like ehow often has step by step instructions that are
fairly accessible, although you have to search until you find a project that
is described properly without relying too much on pictures. Some people have
a talent for explaining things very well.
Just thought I'd share.
Lindy
