Can it be fuzzy? I have some chuncky holiday, but it is real fuzzy. I think I have red and white, left. These scains are small since they are so chuncky!
How big will this be? This yarn does not go far!

hello all,

this class is not posted yet, but I wanted to give you loomers a heads up so you can begin looking for holiday yarn. I have found several brands of holiday yarn in worsted weight, but I have only found one holiday yarn in a vie ply yarn and that is holiday homespun from lion brand. I haven't found any holiday yarn in a 6 ply. if you don't want to use homespun, I suggest you look for the appropriate shades of red white and green in your favorite 5 or 6 ply yarn.

ok, now for the class details:

LK striped Xmas stocking
friday, August 2, 9 and 16 at 8 P.M. eastern.

learn to make a twelve inch square stocking with horizontal stripes. a bit tricky but it looks great when completed so worth the effort.

supplies needed:
31-peg large gauge round loom, or a child sized round 1/2 gauge loom.
knitting tool.
one each of two different skeins of holiday colors of a -5, or 6 ply yarn .(, .)

(note, the original pattern calls for two strands of worsted weight yarn held together, but believe me, you don't want to go this route, particularly on your first stocking.
you are going to be working with two balls of yarn at the same time as it is, you don't want to juggle four balls at once.
we will leave that trick to dame Sophie. <grin>

Cathy
