In this pattern you start out with 9 stitches in the round, so there is not
much of a hole in the center.  In some of the lacy Pi shawl patterns the
center is just part of the lacy design.

Sio my guess is you can expand on and make it larger?
I am not good with the math part of knitting. It sounds pretty enough so I
am guessing too you need to close the little hole right?
