[Nfb-krafters-korner] question for Ramona

I know you can get the Bible for free from Braille Bibles International.
Also, the NFB has a Division about promoting the use of Braille and they
might be able to answer some of your questions if nobody else can answer
them. You can go on NFB.org and look them up or if you're interested, let
me know and I'll give you a link. I'm sure others on this list have
suggestions as well. I know we want to help. I find that if someone wants
to learn and ask questions, he or she can succeed in that learning.

Regards,

Denise

Denise,
Thanks for your comments. I do read the Bible but on cassette or digitial,
do not know if I want to purchase this being so inexperienced. I have so
many questions about braille and do not know where to get answers, so I
appreciate the help.

I'm not Ramona but, I read your post and would like to give a comment. I
don't know if you ever read the Bible but, if you have or would like to read
it, it's great for practicing. It's been my personal experience that it
helps me understand the Bible much better when I have the text under my
fingers. If that's too advanced, you might try some children's books. I
especially like Dr. Seuss and have bought a few children's books. I've
always wanted to read to my nieces and nephews but haven't done it yet. I
don't know if you like reading aloud but, I also find that helpful. I hope
that helps.

Regards,

Denise

Sorry off topic on crafts. Ramona, I am working thru your book, Braille for
Adults thru the NFB and enjoying it. I am also in Grade 3 braille with
Hadley. Would like to ask, I am not getting much practice reading, just
learning, what would you suggest I get to help improve my reading skills?
Terry K
