[Nfb-krafters-korner] Chemo cap pattern for knitting on needles

Hi Denise,

That is great that you are willing to do this at convention. Someday I will
make it to convention.

In my professional life I have worked many conference exhibit tables, and
have found that you want to do something that you are comfortable with while
achieving the following

. Catching the attention of passers-by

. Giving people a quick snap-shot of what your table is all about

. Be easy enough for you to not get frustrated with constant
interruptions.

So with all of that said, I suggest that you pick a pattern that you are
comfortable with. Look for something that will allow you to put down and
pick up many times. Plan to use it as one example of what members of
Krafters Korner love to do. Keep in mind that most people are not going to
stay at the table very long as they have a limited amount of time to visit
the rest of the table on their to do list.

I hope this is helpful.

Annette

Joyce and Fellow Krafters,

I just sent a message about patterns I found for chemo caps (pardon my
misspelling of chemo). I'm leaving for Orlando on Friday so, if anyone
likes the ideas I sent or even maybe Jill's suggestion, and would like me to
work on a cap at the Krafter's Division table in the Exhibit Hall, could you
let me know so I can get the materials and get the pattern ready. What
exactly do you want me to do? Do you just want me to talk about chemo caps
as I'm knitting or demonstrate the pattern or both? I'm just asking because
I like to be organized.

Regards,

Denise

I, too found some nice patterns for kemo caps. One site is

 <http://www.headHuggers.org> www.headHuggers.org

I found one that's knitted and turned inside out and one that's a knitted
rib pattern.

In addition, I found one on

 <http://www.knittingonthenet.org> www.knittingonthenet.org

It's a knitting pattern that uses worsted yarn and eyelash yarn. this one
may be too hot for summer but, it's an interesting design that's done on the
round.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Denise

Thanks, Jill. These patterns are a good combination of super easy, plus an
added little element of femininity. They are plain hats, but they have a
lace trim added that is quite pretty in an understated way. Thanks for
sharing this pattern.
