[Nfb-krafters-korner] T-Shirt Dress - WAS: pillow case dress

I have seen directions to make a dress like this by knitting the skirt to the t shirt. Yes, a tank would be really cute. I always wanted to do this for my Grand Daughters. Unless the shirt was already very short I would think it was a dropped waist.

It look as if all they did was take a long rectangular piece of material, sewed the short edges together, gathered it up along one long edge so that it was the circumference of the bottom of the t-shirt and attached it to that edge. The other long edge of the rectangle was hemmed to form the bottom of the skirt.

I was looking through all the little girl clothes when I foundthe a pillow case dress! I didn’t buy one, but I did give it a good once over to see how it was made.
> It appeared to be a tube like a pillow case. At the top it was like they had cut the top of the pillow case open and turned it over and then on each corner made a J shaped cut and then stitched around for the arms. The top was boat necked with ½ inch ribbon running through to draw it up and connect the front neckline to the back. So it had two bows one on each shoulder.
