Let me clarify this for you Sunshine, it is using 2 pairs of circular
needles at one time. Sometime you can not get circular needles short enough
to work in a circle so you use 2 circular needles. For the mitten class
you will need size 8 circular needles and I personally use 2 sets of 16 inche
circular needles, but they don't have to be the same lenfth. just the
same size.
