I heard it and wow I need to figure out how or if they keep this on the
website or how to record it.

Sorry I missed it. For those who would like to learn how to identify some
bird songs, you might want to check out the following Hadley School for the
Blind course.

A Birdsong Tutor
The distinctive chirp of a bird in spring is a familiar joy to many people.
Would you like to identify less common birds? Try this introduction to
identifying birdsongs and other sounds of nature, developed especially for
visually impaired people.

For anyone who is interested in learning bird songs by ear, you may enjoy
seeing the news tonight. A group of blind birders from Michigan was filmed
at an event earlier this year and will be shown on the CBS Evening news
Tonight. I am involved with the group, but since I was still down south
when this event happened, I was not able to be at this event. Below you
will find some additional info on it.

It's finally happening! Donna almost was jumping out of her skin when she
called me - our spot on CBS will air tonight, so be sure to watch the 6:30
news! If you can think of anyone I missed with this message, please let
them
know!

CBS filmed Donna Posont and our kids and adult friends doing a Birding By
Ear event in Dearborn in early April. The event was cosponsored by Cornell
Lab of Ornithology, and it is with deep gratitude to Cornell that we are
excitedly posting this news! This is fabulous opportunity for children with
visual impairments and blindness to show off a special talent they have to
the whole country, and for Donna to have a spot of recognition for the
absolutely fabulous job she does teaching these kids about birds, their
environment and GETTING OUTSIDE!

We are so proud! Be sure to tune in tonight!
