Hi all,
I am making a scallop lace edged chemo cap. This cap is one of the ones that
was in a link for 2 lace edged chemo chps provided by Jill, I think, quite a
while ago. This is my problem.
I don't understand the directions
for round 4. It says to end the round with a yarn over. That just doesn't
make sense.
I have cast on 84 stitches plus 1 extra stitch and joined in the round. I
have purled
2 rounds and knit 1 round. Below are the directions for the lace pattern.
Could someone
please tell me if the pattern is correct and I should end each pattern
repeat, including
the one at the end of the round with a yarn over, or is there a mistake in
the pattern? It seems to me that if I keep increasing, I will keep
increasing the stitch count, since there are three decreases and four yarn
overs in round four.
Rnd 1 and 2: p
Rnd 3: k
Rnd 4: k1, yo, k3, ssk, yo, sk2p, yo, k2tog, k3, yo
Rnds 5-12: Repeat rnds 3 and 4 four more times.
I tend not to think there is a pattern mistake, because there are 2 lace
edged chemo
caps from the same person. The first one is a
madiera lace pattern and the second one is the scallop lace one. I have
completed
the madiera lace pattern and I really like the attention to detail that has
gone
in to the pattern for the entire cap. But the second one has me stumped.
Thanks in
advance for your help.
Paulette
