[Nfb-krafters-korner] Creative Monday

Terry, a story first, this idea came out of the event.

My husband and I just got back from a business trip. That first night the
group of us went out to dinner. There were probably ten of us all following
our waitress in the restaurant. Weaving around smallish tables all of a
sudden this lady stopped our waitress and in a loud voice says, I am
allergic to dogs. Don't put those dogs near us. Well I being a bit of a
smart butt, lol, laughed at her dramatics. Everyone was looking at her just
rolling there eyes. I wanted to applaud her, but later thought about a
little gift I should have presented her. How about a gold beaded little guy
kind of resembling the statuettes they give out at the academy awards.

I do though like the bears that we could give each a creative touch. A ma
and pa bear sitting in a basket. Hippies bear with a beaded vest or strings
of beads around his neck, maybe dangly earrings. Sexy babe bear with lacy
top. Old farmer bear with his felted hat and farmer jeans someone sewed.
Bubble bath bears with some lovely fragrance someone made and a little card
advertising their business. A piece of Velcro should hold the small bottle
on the bears, or pretty ribbon we all learned to make. Baby bear with
booties and a baby sweater. You can buy a rattle cheep. Of course Sudsy with
his home made soap around his neck in a bag tied around his neck, that's
easy and so cute. A loomed child's hat and scarf for "oopse winter's coming
bear."

I am the idea lady, not the implementation lady, sorry, shy smile.

With my business, I usually have times I am not doing anything but
inventory. So ship me some Bears, if you decide to do them for a fund
raiser, and I will play with ideas. Like right now I have a baby doll
sitting on a chair with a cocoon on with a hood. It would be cuter if it
were a bear in that chair. The cocoon was made to small, lol. So take your
mistakes and think about how they could decorate something else.

Oh Jake wants to know if he can decorate a bear. Lol, I am afraid to ask
what he wants to do, lol.

Donts worry goilys. I wils do a great Job, toothy grin.

Jake what are you doing with that shaver?!

Awe, nuttin', toothy grin.

Good Monday Crafters,

Today starts a new week and I am here on this Monday to give you all the
challenge of the week. Collectively we can think together to brainstorm
ideas to benefit KK, so, please use this week to send me your ideas and
suggestions on fund raising.

Thank you to the people who have sent me ideas, but there is a lot more of
you on this list, who have not sent in an idea. We have one of the most
creative lists I have seen and I believe we just have not uncovered that one
golden idea yet. You might think it might be silly or nobody would want to
do that, but you could be the one with the idea. We have heard about duct
tape book marks, luggage tags, what is your idea. Please think about some
ideas you have had in the past, put them in writing and let us explore them,
it might be the one.

Terry K
